Social Media And Internet Addiction
description
In the last 5-10 years the use of smartphones and social media increased dramatically, so that nowadays it is not even surprising that a toddler has a phone. Some babies are even born with pre-existing social media accounts that their parents create after the news of pregnancy. This represents of course one end of the spectrum but also shows how widespread and unsupervised the smartphones and social media accounts are. This has a negative effect on the academic success and the social life of the children. The lack of physical activities is another concern of many parents and teaching staff.
The “Social Media and Internet Addiction” course focuses on these subjects and hopes to raise awareness for these problems and find the right solutions.
